                             CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS IN ONTARIO

STANDARD FIRST AID

All Ontario workplaces with more than 5 workers in any one shift require Standard First Aid. 

Exceptions (Small Workplaces that Require Standard First Aid):

· Child Care Workers

· Personal Support Workers

EMERGENCY FIRST AID

All Ontario workplaces with 5 of less workers in any one shift require Emergency First Aid. 

Examples: 

· Security guards

· Drivers (taxi, bus) 

CPR & AED

CPR Level “C” & AED

· Personal trainers

· Fitness employees

Basic Life Support (BLS) - Formally Health Care Provider - HCP)

· Health care providers (doctors, nurses, respiratory technicians, etc.)

· First responders (paramedics, fire fighters, etc.)
